Even though we all know that being thankful doesn’t just happen at Thanksgiving, I love that it sparks people to take a minute from their busy lives to remember thoughtfully the blessings in our lives. I took yesterday off from blogging to enjoy some of the blessings I am most thankful for.
I am thankful to be back in California continuing the tradition of spending Thanksgiving with my dear friends.
I am thankful for turkey sandwiches with extra mayo on white bread.
I am thankful for deep and meaningful conversations with people who make me feel like I am worth something.
I am thankful that this year I couldn’t give any less of a shit about Black Friday and holiday shopping.
I am thankful for this opportunity to come back home which I miss terribly.
I am thankful for my new home and for the opportunities that the future holds.
I am thankful for the family I have been blessed with and more love than one person deserves.
I am thankful for the struggles that remind me I am alive, and strong, and help me to appreciate the goodness of live.
I am thankful for all of the people I know who make my life more meaningful.
I am thankful that my heart knows the truth about God and for the path he has for me and the life I get to look forward to one day.
I am thankful that I am aware and can think beyond myself.
The list could go on and on as I think of all the things big and small in my life that cause thanksgiving in my heart. My wish is that everyone in the world are able to do the same.
Spread love. Be kind. And be thankful.
