Today I’ve decided to let my friend Fishy guest blog. She came all the way out to Wisco to visit me and she is one of my favorite people. She’s a crazy cool girl who is insanely smart and funny. Without further ado…
Hmmm… is this where I start typing??? I’m a little nervous. I don’t BLOG. I have a diary though and I share all my thoughts and crazy ideas privately between its pages without much thought to who or what might come across it. I also like to ramble … in my head. I do it all day long. I zone out staring into space with my brain activity on full throttle. It’s nice. I’m rarely bored.
My first inclination is to follow what is natural. To pour out onto this digital landscape all my ramblings not caring much for cohesive thoughts or sensibilities. I’m that selfish really. I don’t care much for others either. How I have H as a friend in the first place is a mystery but I suspect it has more to do with her being very tolerant. She is also kind, generous and forgiving. She isn’t very patient though. OMG … she makes me laugh. A lot.
I like my H because she keeps me on my toes. She’s like the window into my cold beating heart. She pries into me with her warmth and laughter melting any sort of disdain I have for most humans. She is a reminder that the world has hope and humanity has the ability to be good. Genuinely good. It’s not easy to find – or perhaps it is and I’m just a bit too cynical.
If you ever have a chance to meet H or be her friend – you won’t be disappointed. I suppose you’d get to know her through her bloginess. It’s a process that has improved her mind I think too. We should all practice what make us better people, no?
Hmmm… “practice what makes us better people”… What might that look like for you? How might that challenge your thinking, your behavior, or comfort zones? For me, it’s a friend called H who tempers my impulses for decapitating stupid people. You might thank her for it too.
