Recipe Review

Now that I have a functional and inviting kitchen again as well as a new menu planner, I’ve been scouring the Internet for new recipes to try.  One site I’ve recently discovered is Yummly.  During one particular recipe search I stumbled upon this recipe for home style chicken and noodles.  Oh my favorite!  Ever since I was a kid I’ve loved the thick noodles and creamy sauce.  In an attepmt to replicate my childhood fav, which I’ve yet to accomplish all these years later, I tried my hand at this simple recipe.  Final result:  Delicious Perfection!
Ingredients

4 Boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 Cans (10.75oz each) cream of chicken soup
2 Cans (15 oz each) chicken broth
1 Pkg home style egg noodles
Directions

Rinse chicken and cut into chunks.
Coat lightly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder (optional).
Place in slow cooker.
Add cream of chicken soups and chicken broths.
Cook on low heat for 6 hours.
Add frozen egg noodles.
Cook on high heat for 2 hours stirring occasionally.
**Here’s what I did!**
I used pepper and garlic salt to lightly season the chicken.
I used Amish home style egg noodles that were not frozen.
I added the noodles after 6-1/2 hours since they weren’t frozen.
This recipe was so easy and perfect for a busy Sunday.  My parents are visiting and we ALL loved this dish.  Be warned it is VERY filling but my mom’s salad was the perfect, light addition.  This was totally spot on to what I remembered as a kid and so much easier to make than I ever thought possible!  I highly recommend this for any reason during any season!
