Six days into the new year and I’m not quite sure what to think yet. Parts of it feel mysteriously like last year but I have noticed a few changes happening. Perhaps it’s the subconscious decisions to start over and my brain is reacting to the alarm clock that went off. However it occurs, I am thankful for this little jump start. Can’t say that I’ve achieved happiness over night but I think the process over the next 12 months will last me a life time.
Over the holidays I embarked on a few, shall we say, adventures. I’m ok financially but am always looking for ways to either save or make money. Working with seniors heightens my awareness of the impending doom of old age and how desperately we all need to prepare for that. The projects I have started may seem bandwagonesque but the original intent was, in fact, penny pinching tactics. The fact that I can share my experiences and maybe make some money are a total unintentional byproduct.
In November I signed up as a “consultant” for Beauty Control. Here is my website: My Beauty Page I’m still pretty novice at the “business” aspect of this adventure but have been personally been using these products for the last 23 years. It all started when I was 13 years old. My mom scheduled a make up and skin care consultation for my birthday. When my classmates and friends began experimenting with makeup, she wanted me to learn about makeup the right way the first time. That decision saved me from smearing on enough crap to make a $3.00 hooker look expensive. At the same time I got hooked on the skin care line and have continued using these products long after I decided make up wasn’t for me. I have sensitive skin hedging on the side of dry and a lot of products just don’t leave me feeling fresh and happy like Beauty Control does. They also have tons of other great products (omg the spa hands is seriously the BEST) and I do still use the makeup when the urge hits me. Check it out and don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
Over Christmas, my SIL got me hooked on doTERRA essential oils! Here is my website: My doTERRA Page Essential oils seem to be the current rage and I, like most of you, have been bombarded with splashes of oil from both doTERRA and Young Living enthusiast to the point of almost shunning the idea. No one ever seems to have any answers so I was super glad my SIL sat down with me and gave me a little education, some literature, and a ton of product to try. A natural skeptic, I’m pleasantly surprised at what I am learning and experiencing. For the last several years, I’ve been experiencing stomach pain after eating never quite sure what the culprit is. Recently I’ve narrowed it down to avocado, onion, and peppers yet the list continues to grow. During my visit I tried a DigestiZen softgel and was able to enjoy a dish with onion in it. I anxiously awaited the inevitable pain but it never came! My brother commented that he was able to discontinue his prescription because of this very pill. HUGE! Especially coming from my brother! My SIL and brother had a very convincing testimonial about another product which calmed down and uplifted them on a very stressful car ride. If you knew my brother you would understand how amazing this is!!! I’ve also been using the Deep Blue rub on my lower back and the pain subsides with in minutes. Winter cripples me like a 90 year old woman and the relief I’ve experienced is priceless. Since I’ve gotten home, I’ve continued researching the products and testing them on various ailments and continue to be convinced and impressed by their authenticity. I started taking the xEO Mega supplement a few days ago and have already noticed a positive effect on my sleep, my energy level, and my overall mental outlook. Placebo? I really don’t think so! Time will tell and I am keeping notes because like I said…I am a natural skeptic. Other products on trial – C is trying HD Clear on his face and InTune for his ADD. I’m excited to continue trying these oils out and I can’t believe I just said that! Check it out and don’t hesitate to let me know if you have any questions!
The Sexiest Month Challenge is still super fun and I’ve enjoyed the challenges Katrina has presented. Life and life with no internet at home prohibits me from staying on track but I have managed to do all challenges even if out of sync. My favorite so far has been Day 2: 3 song impromptu dance party. I suffer from
