I have officially recovered from the Girl Scout Cookie Binge-a-thon of 2014. I’ve also snapped out of the guilt ridden self-esteem smack down that unfortunately followed. I’ve weighed myself, I’ve worked out a couple times, I’m ready for refocusing time.
This month I was ready for my fix. I updated my style profile by adding this blog and a Pinterest board. I figure the more information the stylist has the better my fix. Mission accomplished. My stylist, Jinnah, nailed it. Everything in my fix was exactly what I love. The most touching part was how personal the note was. Sure there is always a “personal” note but in reality I was just a Heather in California. This note, however, referenced me because my stylist took the time to check out the links I added. I can’t tell you how sweet she was. This experience just got better.
This month, Jinnah picked out a lot of great pieces from 41Hawthorn. Included were the Ivy tulip print tab blouse, Moni stud detailed 3/4 sleeve blouse, Abrianna long sleeve knit cardigan, and the Beckett graphic print v-neck blouse. Also inside was the Fletcher lace trim blouse from Papermoon.
As always, I tried on all of the clothes before checking the prices. Do you know how hard that is?
41Hawthorn Ivy Tulip Print Tab Sleeve Blouse in blue ~ $68.00
I LOVE this blouse. The sweet tulip print, the fabulous fabric, and perfect cut stole my heart. I could not wait to try this on, having already decided that this blouse was mine! I slipped it on and then…my ladies got flattened weird. This blouse fit everywhere else so well except across the chest.
I actually debated buying it any way as a motivator to think thin but at $68.00 I had to say no. Sadly, I must add. I really love this blouse.
41Hawthorn Moni Stud Detailed 3/4 Sleeve Blouse in dark pink ~ $58.00
Another fabulous blouse. I loved the style of this top. I have to admit I’m not usually a fan of stud
accents but my opinion was swayed by this chic combination. The fabric was so light and the cut was perfect! I love arm coverage while still being cute. The downside? This extra-large blouse fit way more like a medium.
41Hawthorn Abrianne Longsleeve Knit Cardigan in navy ~ $48.00
Blue just so happens to be my favorite color. I love the way it compliments my eyes. I also happen to love layering with a cardigan. This piece is the perfect weight for layering all year round. The front drapes well and the length is flattering to my body type. Not having a navy cardigan, I couldn’t resist!
Papermoon Fletcher Lace Trim Blouse in black ~ $48.00
My heart skipped a beat when I first laid eyes on the floral lace trim. I love embroidered blouses. They are so sweet and feminine and unique. I was disappointed by how short the front of this blouse was. Being a sleeveless top, the lack of length made this awkward and boxy. Not even a cardigan or jacket could improve this disaster.
41Hawthorn Beckett Graphic Print V-Neck Blouse in blue ~ $54.00
At first glance this blouse was my least favorite. The pattern didn’t really speak to me but I did kind of liked the neck line and color block trim. The fabric is light and the cut was comfortable and flattering. I paired this with the cardigan and I was suddenly in love. The pattern and I bonded. I felt put together. This is an outfit I can dress up or down. I’ve been secretly wanting to not look like such a slob while still being comfy, casual, and cute. This blouse fits the bill.
Can you guess how this fix ended up?
Stitch Fix Selfie! I couldn’t help myself. How cute is this outfit! I can’t believe that is me! I think tomorrow is a great time to debut my cute new fix!
